The answer to this question can be found out on Thursday, March 31 when Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist David Lindley brings his wide array of acoustic and electric instruments to the Tralf Music Hall for a riveting evening of music on Thursday, March 31.
Recognized through his collaborations with artists such as Jackson Browne, Warren Zevon, Dolly Parton, Bob Dylan, Ry Cooder and Henry Kaiser, Lindley’s acoustic and electric guitar work is unparalleled. Ben Harper has even cited Lindley’s slide guitar playing as influential on his own playing.
While best known to Western audiences for his work in rock, Lindley’s live shows combine elements of American folk, blues, and bluegrass with African, Arabic, Asian, Celtic, Malagasy, and Turkish traditional music. Lindley incorporates an incredible variety of stringed instruments including Kona and Weissenborn Hawaiian lap steel guitar, Turkish saz and chumbus, Middle Eastern oud, and Irish bouzouki. The eye-poppingly clad "Mr. Dave's" uncanny vocal mimicry and demented sense of humor make his onstage banter a highlight of the show (music geek fact: Lindley sings the falsetto line on the live version of Jackson Browne’s “The Load Out/Stay”). David Lindley consistently gives one of the most unique concert experiences available to adventuresome music listeners.
