The show marks McGraw’s first appearance at “The Sport” in several months. In that time the singer songwriter has toured heavily, venturing through the Midwest out to Wyoming and California. He’s also made time to release a new CD, “Long Way From Slowin’ Down,” film a video for his song “When a Dollar Ain’t Worth a Dime,” and forge a deal with new Los Angeles based imprint Little Engine Records. Born and raised in Dunkirk NY, McGraw has called both LA, and Nashville home since leaving Chautauqua Co in the nineties, proof that an overnight success can take well over a decade to happen. After years of close calls; Nashville Star, CMT’s “Ten Days On Tour,” endless touring and five self-released CD’s the singer is eagerly awaiting the premier of his new video on CMT within the month. A radio tour will follow. Brimming with energy, Németh's new CD Love Me Tonight re-visits the inspired sounds of the 1950's and 1960's, when Chicago Blues was adding Funk and Rock to the mix. While reinvigorating the sound of vintage American R&B with his spine-tingling vocals and considerable songwriting skills, John has crafted a timeless slice of American music. AllMusic said of the album: "Németh never sounds less than committed to this material and often pushes the performances into the red zone with assistance from a sturdy backing quartet. Whether he's singing or working the harp, Németh is one of the finest young additions to the soul blues scene." Frequent collaborator Elvin Bishop guests on two tracks.

The 2007 release of his national debut CD, Magic Touch, on Blind Pig Records, immediately established Németh as a rapidly ascending star to be reckoned with. Blues Revue called the album, "one of the most exciting blues debuts of the past year." Tom Mazzolini, who's seen generations of blues luminaries as promoter of the San Francisco Blues Festival, called Németh "an incredible talent, one of the new generation of blues that's carrying us on for a long time. Rochester's urban rustic hick band, The Hayseeds, will hillbillify that haven of hedonism known as Allentown in their first Buffalo appearance at Nietzsche's, 248 Allen St., Buffalo, NY on May 21, 2009 from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Familiar with the phenomenon known as "Nietzsche's Time", The Hayseeds show will start on time.

These accomplished players eschew their amplifiers and strip down to acoustic basics. Americana, Roots, Bluegrass, Gospel, Blues, Cajun and foot-stomping good time C&W classics are delivered with a joy that is infectious and jubilant, transforming any venue into a family back-porch jamboree.

Life’s A Long Song – 40th Anniversary Tribute to Jethro Tull

Living with the Past began performing Jethro Tull tribute shows in the NY area some years back to pay homage to the boys’ favorite all time band, the mighty Tull. Despite the band members living in various locations around the US, the band continued to evolve, and they decided to perform a 40th anniversary tribute to Tull, inviting long-time Tull bassist Dave Pegg to join them in this celebration. Inspired by the great music of Jethro Tull, the excitement of Tull’s 40th year, and the added level influence of “Peggy”, the band put on this memorable performance that they decided to share with Jethro Tull fans around the world. Through the masterful audiovisual efforts of LWTP guitarist Erin Ward, a respectable production resulted, capturing the spirit, energy, and intensity of a band of Tull fans showing the world just how much this great music has meant to them. A band that many music enthusiasts feel it one of the greatest bands of all time will be gracing the stage of Springville-Griffith Institute High School on May 4th at 7:00 p.m. The World Famous, Glenn Miller Orchestra, is the most popular and sought after big band in the world today for both concert and swing dance engagements. Under the music direction of trombonist Larry O’Brien, the 19-member band will perform upbeat melodies that have been thrilling audiences for over four decades.

During the Swing era of the ‘30s and ‘40s, bandleader Glenn Miller recorded and performed a string of hits including Tuxedo Junction, In the Mood, and Chattanooga Choo Choo and became a huge sensation with the era’s dance crowd. Miller’s musical heritage lives on with the Glenn Miller Orchestra continuing to draw flocks of fans who can’t get enough of the unique and special Miller sound. The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since, playing an average of 300 live dates a year all around the world.

The concert is a production of the Business of Music Class at S.G.I. High School and the course teaches students about the practical aspects of the business world using the music industry as its central focus. The students study such topics as artist management, business and entertainment law, accounting and finance, concert promotion, and current trends in the industry. The Glenn Miller Orchestra project is used as a ‘final exam’ where students can demonstrate their learning through a hands-on learning experience.

Hello again Blues Buddies!

The recent spring Hard Times " Survival Tour" was a resounding success. A big thanks to all the festival promoters, club owners, and show promoters that had us as their guests. *Blue 5, Darwin's, Blues Tavern, Paradise, Green Parrot, Back Room, Bonita Springs Blues Festival, Ft. Pierce Waterside Blues Concert, The Schooner, The Hurricane, and last but not least, Dirty South TV Productions.

We had a bit of a mechanical problem with the new slightly used band van while in Pensicola Fl. Thanks to a sharp mechanic that put some of his magic on us we were on our way and didn't miss any tour dates for about 60 bucks! We did have one mishap though.Our Roadie A.K.A. our production and marketing man "Brother Bill" forgot where he was one morning while awakening in a Close Quarters Bunk bed at the Green Parrot in Key West. He quickly rose up and busted his head open on the next bunk above him. After a little clean up, some butterfly bandages, and aspirin he was on his way to recovery![Oh! don't forget the beer he drank]

We had the honor of having the entire show broadcast live over Internet T.V. @ Darwin's in Marietta Ga. You can view it by checking http://dirtysouthtv.tv/" and searching for the Jony James Show. We received national and world wide coverage to thousands of fans.

Our first ever appearance at The Green Parrot happy hour and evening show was well attended.

A couple of highlights of the tour were The Bonita Springs Blues Festival attended by 3500 fans and the Fort Pierce Waterside Blues concert attended by over a thousand fans! Thanks to Brother Bert Lawton from Bradenton Fl. He came out to help us take care of technical stuff and man the merchandise. booth.

The two hours of NEW SONGS! that the band was showcasing were very well received. These new songs are currently in production on the new c.d. that is scheduled to be available in the fall. Everyone is real excited and can't hardly wait for it to come out.

If the success of the tour wasn't enough you wouldn't believe what happened the first show back in Buffalo N.Y. At the famous "Four Aces Club" while playing their first set , in comes Devon Allman and his band Honeytribe. [Greg's Son] Devon and Jony got to jam together while doing a show at Eagles Nest in N.C.a while back. When Devon came to Buffalo on tour he looked up Jony and the band. Of coarse they jammed again and blew the roof!! What a treat. Thanks Devon.

We're still working on the trip out to Texas in July to do some shows for a minor league baseball team in conjunction with a motorcycle run or two. More on that as details arrive.

(BUFFALO, NY) Team captains and top fundraisers today gathered to celebrate the kick-off event for The Ride For Roswell 2009, presented by Wegmans and Wellness Sponsor Praxair, at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. New and returning riders, volunteers and supporters are encouraged to again join The Ride and raise funds in support of cancer research and patient care programs. Last year’s Ride raised $2 million for Roswell Park.

More than 8,500 riders, volunteers and supporters are expected to attend The Ride For Roswell 2009 on Saturday, June 27 at the University at Buffalo’s Baird Point in Amherst. Eight routes are available, including the 12-mile Peloton ride, sponsored by Sahlen’s, that travels from Roswell Park to UB, and a brand-new 3-mile “Family Fun Ride” ideal for families with trailers, kids’ bike seats and tricycles. The Ride For Roswell is Upstate New York’s largest one-day biking event.

Individuals of any age are encouraged to register, or to form teams of at least four members. Tips and tools are provided on www.RideForRoswell.org to make fundraising easy, including customizable Web pages, letters and support materials.
