Liberty and Yellow Cab Launch "Safe Ride Home" Program in Western New York

Join Liberty and Yellow cab of Buffalo as they launch their 35th year of providing free cab rides on New Year’s Eve for customers celebrating at local bars and restaurants. Liberty’s "Safe Ride Home" program provides participating bar and restaurant customers, who are not in a condition to drive, the opportunity for one of its drivers to get them home safely.
In 2008, an estimated 11,733 people died in alcohol-impaired traffic crashes in the United States.* The goal of the "Safe Ride Home" program is to prevent alcohol related accidents and fatalities here in Buffalo and Western New York.
Last year, over 200 bars and restaurants participated in the program and Liberty gave over 300 free rides. This year, Liberty is inviting even more bars and restaurants to take part in the program and has introduced a new online function system for easy registration.
