CELTIC GROUP RELEASES DEBUT CD
Buffalo, NY, November 23, 2009: Stone Row, a Celtic/world music group based in Western New York, is celebrating the release of their debut CD "Alignment" which features original material as well as unique contemporary arrangements of traditional Celtic music. An all-ages CD release party will take place on Friday, December 11th 2009 at the Buffalo Irish Center, 245 Abbott Road in South Buffalo. The event will begin at 7:00 PM and will feature a concert by Stone Row with special musical guests.
The group has received praise from local musicians as well as national performers. Jennifer Batten, solo artist and former guitarist with Michael Jackson and Jeff Beck states: "Killer tunes!... It makes you want to dance around the rim of a pint of Guinness!". Miranda Mullholland, fiddler for the Glengarry Bhoys says: "The opening band, Stone Row was amazing!...This band is definitely one to watch."
Stone Row consists of veteran musicians with diverse musical backgrounds: Kevin Auwarter (acoustic guitar/vocals), Glenn Bernardis (bass/vocals), Nick Corallo (drums/vocals), Katie Panfil (fiddle/whistle/vocals) and Dave Schmeidler (lead guitar/vocals). The group’s dynamic sound appeals to a wide range of musical tastes.
