Drew De Four Returns to Nietzsche’s (248 Allen St) Fri 10/23

Back from Tours of UK/Ireland/Poland for U.S. Release of ‘The Troubadour:’ Epic Project

BUFFALO, NY – Popular singer/piano-player Drew De Four will return to Buffalo this week to deliver a special performance at Nietzsche’s, 248 Allen Street, on Friday, October 23. Showtime is 6pm (happy hour).

De Four has been touring solidly since April: first around the north east, then extensively throughout the UK, Ireland, and Poland. In returning to the U.S., De Four and producer Devin Kerr put the finishing touches on De Four’s ambitious new album, ‘The Troubadour,’ at Kerr’s Good Hertz recording studio (Ann Arbor, MI). The epic project took months in studio, includes performances by 20 session players, and features compositions battle-tested by years of international touring. While the De Four is already signed by Japan’s Grey Dog’s Records, ‘The Troubadour’ is positioned to be picked up in the U.S. this album cycle. ‘The Troubadour’ was released on 10/12.

De Four’s dynamic live performance incorporates the balladeer elements of Tom Waits, the soul and playfulness of Dr. John, and the high energy virtuosity of Ray Charles. A well-seasoned performer at only 26 years of age, De Four has averaged 150 shows per year since 2004. In which time, he also released two heralded full-length CDs and a collection of piano solos. De Four is regarded as being the best dueling piano player in America. In financing his career in original music, De Four has toured relentlessly as a dueler, coast to coast, and performed at more than 30 of the nation’s finest dueling piano bars. De Four hails from the Detroit, Michigan area, and has been performing in upstate NY since 2004.
