BUFFALO MUSIC HALL OF FAME HOSTS FREE CD RELEASE PARTY AT HARD ROCK CAFÉ

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 31, 2009 (Buffalo, NY)--Join the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame for the release of its second compilation CD, on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at 8 p.m., at the Hard Rock Café – Niagara Falls, USA (333 Prospect St., Niagara Falls, NY – across from Niagara Falls State Park). The evening features live performances by Hall of Fame inductees The Headers, Gretchen Schultz with the Morvells, Joyryde, and Terry Sullivan. The all-ages event is free and open to the public.

The CD features songs by The Headers, Talas, Ed Bentley, Gretchen Schulz, Tommy Z, Taylor Made Jazz, Jim Ehinger, Terry Sullivan, The Morvells, Gurf Morflix, The Plimsouls (Peter Case), Willie Nile, Stan and the Ravens, Willie Haddath, Jim Whitford, and Joyryde. A number of the tunes by these Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Members offered on the Volume II CD are either versions of hits that have not been previously released on other CDs or they have been recorded especially for this CD. One example is “Rag Top” by the legendary Stan and the Ravens. This tune was recorded over 20 years ago and this CD is the only place it can be heard. “On The Road To Calvary” was recorded specifically for this CD by Willie Nile.

In addition, guests will be able to purchase the limited edition Buffalo Music Hall of Fame charity pin. Fifteen percent of the purchase price of each pin supports the community based program initiatives that are brought forth by the BMHOF.

The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit corporation created for the cultural enhancement and enrichment of Buffalo and Western New York through the region’s musicians and music history.
