MOVIE SYNOPSIS

__________________________________________________________

SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS
1964 81 min Not Rated (suitable for all ages)
Martians, upset that their children have become obsessed with TV shows from Earth which extoll the virtues of Santa Claus, start an expedition to Earth to kidnap the one and only Santa. While on Earth, they kidnap two lively children that lead the group of Martians to the North Pole and Santa. This absolutely crazy, over-the-top tale falls under the so bad its fun category and also features a theme song that won't get out of your head for days, and features a young Pia Zadora.

BLACK CHRISTMAS
1974 98 min Rated R Directed by BOB CLARK
You may never have heard of this neglected 1974 gem, but you've probably seen one of its many imitators. A simple tale of a half-empty sorority house over the holidays, BLACK CHRISTMAS focuses on Olivia Hussey and housemates, including Margot Kidder and Andrea Martin, as they receive a series of sinister phone calls, starting as obscene and building towards terrifyingly unsettling, and those around them begin to disappear. The pacing is perfect and the performances are all top-notch. Well-written and expertly directed, the tension in BLACK CHRISTMAS is well-maintained, with no lulls in the story nor "fake" scares to cheat the audience. With remarkably little gore or bloodshed, BLACK CHRISTMAS nonetheless culminates in one of the most intense climaxes ever experienced in horror films

DjamBossa (jam-boss-a) -Djambossa is inspired by the late great gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt. We start our name, like he did. Djambossa is highly improvisational, we love to "jam". Djambossa infuses latin styles like bossanova into our set.A sometimes soft and sometimes scathing acoustic mélange.

An eclectic mix of ethnic folk - gypsy jazz, bossanova, flamenco and even bluesComing soon to a bar stool near you.
