Loudon Wainwright III to appear at Tralf on December 4th

Highly acclaimed singer songwriter Loudon Wainwright III will make a rare Buffalo appearance at The Tralf on December 4th. Wainwright is out on the road in support of his latest release Strange Weirdos, music from and inspired by the movie Knocked Up starring Seth Rogan and Katherine Heigl. Best known for his hit song “Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road” he is much more than that. He has appeared on numerous TV shows including a regular stint on the TV show M.A.S.H. as Capt. Calvin Spaulding the singing surgeon and appearances in the movies Elizabethtown and Aviator to name a few.

Since 1970 Wainwright has managed to release over twenty albums of his own recordings and appeared on CD’s from Buffalo’s own Willie Nile and others. Johnny Cash covered Wainwright’s song “The Man Who Couldn’t Cry” for his American Recordings compact disc. He is also the husband of Suzy Roche from singing group The Roches and dad of singer songwriters Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright.
