SLAMMIN WORDS: NEW SUMMER WORKSHOP SERIES FOR TEENS
PRESENTED BY JUST BUFFALO AND LOCUST ST. ART
Buffalo, N.Y—Just Buffalo Literary Center is proud to present Slammin Words, a free summer workshop series for youth ages 12-18. The series takes place each Saturday, June 30 through August 18, 1 to 3pm.
Taught by Tysheka “Spoken” Long, participating teens will learn to write, create and practice slam poems; meet national slam artists; and perform in a poetry slam. Poetry slam is the competitive art of performance poetry, putting dual emphasis on writing and performance.
To sign up for Slammin Words please call Locust St. Art- 852-4562 or Just Buffalo Literary Center- 832-5400. The series is free but registration is required. All Slammin Words workshops take place at Locus St. Art, 130 Locust St., Buffalo.
