JOHN NEMETH COMING TO BUFFALO!

John Nemeth, who's fast become one of the most-talked about newcomers on the scene, will be bringing his riveting show (featuring Junior Watson on guitar) to Buffalo as follows:

Tuesday May 1st 2007
TUDOR LOUNGE - 335 FRANKLIN STREET - 716-855-9643
Show @ 9:00 PM - TICKETS: $5.00

John's magnificent, emotive voice and stellar harmonica playing mark him as a virtuoso of rare depth and power. His uncanny blend of retro-modern blues and soul music will delight purists and young hipsters alike.

Blues Revue magazine said Nemeth "conjures, impossibly, the spirits of Nat King Cole, Wilson Pickett, and Magic Sam, alternating between cocktail-combo jazz and balls-out Stax soul while exuding an air of authenticity beyond his life experience."

The buzz about Nemeth has been continual and growing. Bob Margolin, a well-known blues guitarist (and alumnus of the Muddy Waters Band) has been quoted as saying, " I remember telling friends up North in '80 that they should go see Stevie Ray Vaughan, but they weren't impressed because he wasn't famous yet. It will give me great pleasure to say, 'I told you so!' about John NĂ©meth. You'll see."

Nemeth delivers the goods on stage as well. His riveting intensity has allowed him to open for Robert Cray and Keb Mo and fill in for the ailing Sammy Myers last year on the Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets tour. After witnessing a show, Bob Horn of the Washington Blues Society said, "Either John Nemeth is one of the greatest vocalists in the world or this was the best performance of his life, or both." And T-Bone Erickson of Blueswax said, "Definitely one of the best club shows that I've ever seen."

Critics got hip to this latest sensation with the January release of his national debut CD, Magic Touch, on Blind Pig Records. Blues Revue called the album "one of the most exciting blues debuts of the past year." Good Times Magazine said it was "a revelation - it swings, it rocks, and it grooves, and it's easily the best release of 2007 so far...this disc is a primer on how to make a simply perfect blues album."
