12th ANNUAL FEMALE MUSICIANS FIGHTING BREAST CANCER
BENEFIT
(Buffalo, NY) It‘s been 11
consecutive years, since Ida Goeckel, a local female bass
player, and now two time
breast cancer survivor, founded and organized the first annual Female Musicians Fighting Breast Cancer Benefit. The 12th Anniversary Female
Musicians Fighting Breast Cancer benefit is once again set to raise awareness and funds for
the WNY Breast Cancer Resource Center, the go-to support and information center on the
grounds of Roswell Park Cancer Institute. It is where patients and their support network
can learn to make informed choices and become better equipped to explore their
treatment options.
Maple Entertainment Complex, in Amherst, N.Y. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. with four
local bands, featuring female members, donating their talent to perform from 2:00
p.m.-7:00.p.m. This year we are proud to return to our roots of supporting homebred WNY
original musicians! It promises to be another fine gathering of some of the best live
entertainment you will see/hear anywhere.

The Carl Palmer world tour makes a Buffalo stop at Tralf Music Hall on November 25th.

Entitled “Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy Rhythm Of Light 2014
Tour,” the famed musician will present a show that includes bold, new
arrangements of the best-loved instrumental music of ELP, and other composers.
Carl Palmer Legacy is a red-hot power trio that features Palmer on drums and
percussion; guitarist Paul Bielatowicz and bassist Simon
Fitzpatrick.
Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy will play nearly two hours and drum
enthusiasts can expect an evening of compelling percussive skills, from the man
who brought the drum set to the forefront of rock n roll music. The Tralf
continues it's long held tradition of presenting iconic music masters. Tickets

2014 Alden Art Show
One
of Western New York's longest running art shows, the Alden Art Show, will be
held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. September 7 and feature the work of many local and
close-by
juried
artisans. This
family friendly event will take place on the grounds of the Alden Firemen’s Park
and Bandstand Park (Broadway & Church Sts.) right in the heart of the
Village of Alden.

More than one hundred artists, writers, filmmakers, actors,
musicians, businesses and patrons will celebrate the first
anniversary of the University Heights Arts Association with a family
friendly arts and cultural event.
