player, and now two time breast cancer survivor, founded and organized the first annual
Female Musicians Fighting Breast Cancer Benefit. The 12^th Anniversary Female
Musicians Fighting Breast Cancer benefit is once again set to raise awareness and funds for
the WNY Breast Cancer Resource Center, the go-to support and information center on the
grounds of Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  It is where patients and their support network
can learn to make informed choices and become better equipped to explore their
treatment options.

The event will occur on Sunday October 19th, 2014 at The Forvm at 4224 Maple Rd. at the
Maple Entertainment Complex, in Amherst, N.Y.  Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. with four
local bands, featuring female members, donating their talent to perform from 2:00
p.m.-7:00.p.m. This year we are proud to return to our roots of supporting homebred WNY
original musicians!  It promises to be another fine gathering of some of the best live
entertainment you will see/hear anywhere.

The show will consist of artists and crafts participants, offer cash awards and “Best of Show” ribbons.  The Alden Library will be having its book sale, the Alden Historical Society Building will be open (2-4pm) and there will be a Chicken Bar-B-Q on the grounds in addition to local food, refreshment and dessert establishments just a short walk from the park.

Please come and view works in watercolor, acrylic, photography, pastels, pen & ink, charcoal, graphite, abstract, mixed media, sculptures, glass, pottery, wood, and jewelry just to mention a few.

musicians, businesses and patrons will celebrate the first
anniversary of the University Heights Arts Association with a family
friendly arts and cultural event.

> The first annual UHAA! Festival 2014 compliments the University
> Heights Arts Association Arts Crawl. Throughout the year, the UHAA
> Crawl places tagged art in participating businesses and public
> spaces on Main Street (University Heights), Bailey Ave., and Hertel
> Ave. The tags lead to information about the artists, the venues and
> the UHAA. The festival will bring entertainment to UHAA Art Crawl
> locations on Main Street from St. Andrew's Church (Lisbon Ave.) to
> Niagara Falls Boulevard. Much of the programming offered by UHAA
> involves integrated arts in businesses and non-art settings, such as
> retail stores, community centers and restaurants.

> The diverse lineup of entertainment for the festival includes
> everything from classic jazz to positive rap music. Performers will

> Sculptor Lawrence Kinney will demonstrate how to sculpt with spun
> resins. An exhibition by Chase Lobley featuring dinosaur sculptures
> will offer a clay dinosaur project for children. Later in the day,
> muralist Augustina Droze will unveil a mural that corresponds to a
> community art project involving writers, photographers and area
> residents. Other booths will feature fabric art displays, food art,
> and nature crafts. Community organizations will also be on hand
