Buffalo GreekFest Backgammon Tournament, June 2nd
This year on June 2nd, we are holding our 1st ever community fundraising Backgammon tournament during our Festival!
We are hoping for 128 contestants and offering cash prizes including the winners prize of $500.
Backgammon,the oldest board game in the world, is a very popular among a broad range of people and ethnic groups.

Top Chef superstar Fabio Viviani will make an appearance at the grand opening of the BJ’s Wholesale Club in Amherst, New York, on Saturday, May 18th from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Fabio will be on site to meet fans and to sign copies of his new cookbook- Fabio’s Italian Kitchen.
This event is free and open to the public. The Amherst BJ’s Wholesale Club is located at 3056 Sheridan Dr., Amherst, NY 14226.

The Lucy Desi Center for Comedy produces the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival annually, and will feature performances by Bill Engvall, Kathleen Madigan, a “Comics to Watch” showcase of upcoming comedians presented by Pandora, the leads from the touring stage show hit I Love Lucy® Live on Stage, three nights of late-night comedy in the Tropicana Room that will be co-produced by Rooftop Comedy and recorded as a live comedy album, Lucille Ball’s former personal secretary Wanda Clark, the GI’s of Comedy, Summer Wind Cruises, and Gregg Oppenheimer’s Live Lucy Radio Play. Chautauqua Striders, the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena, and the Lucy Desi Center for Comedy are proud to announce that legendary comedian Martin Short will be the featured performance for Lucy Town Half Marathon and 5k weekend (October 12-13). Short will take his critically-acclaimed act to the stage of the Reg Lenna Civic Center on October 12th at 7:30pm.
