Jefferson Grizzard Impresses Legends in Buffalo
On Friday, August 17, 2012, 9:30 p.m., national recording artist Jefferson Grizzard will be returning to the Sportmens Tavern at 326 Amherst Street in Buffalo, New York.
A completely free show, Jefferson’s return engagement is an expression of appreciation for the overwhelming reception he received by the Buffalo community at his first appearance at the Sportmens back in April of this year. Returning on stage with Jefferson will be Bobby Jones on Hammond B3 organ, John Caruso on bass, Ken Kaufman on piano, Ken Peterson on steel guitar, Ben McRee on guitar and in from Nashville, Tennessee, Buffalo native and Buffalo Music Hall of Famer, Mike Caputy on drums. Special guest musician will be Sandy Konikoff on percussion.
Singer/songwriter, Jefferson Grizzard is from Rome, Georgia. The Back Porch Syndicate Records artist is currently in the process of recording his second CD. Listening to Jefferson, it’s easy to hear the stylistic murmurings of such artists as Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Kris Kristofferson as well as many others that echo the tonality of 60’s and 70’s rock and roll Americana music.http://www.jeffersongrizzard.com/
